WHAT IS A FAB LAB?
A Fab Lab (fabrication laboratory) is a small-scale workshop offering (personal) digital fabrication. A Fab Lab is generally equipped with an array of flexible computer-controlled tools that cover several different length scales and various materials, with the aim to make "almost anything."
Fab Labs offer an evolving inventory of core capabilities to make (almost) anything and allows people and projects to be mentored and share creativity. The NWA Fab Lab has computer controlled routers, milling machines, shop tools, laser cutters, vinyl cutters,
3-D printers, desktop computers with software and more.
